Tang & Java Specialties





Welcome to Tang & Java! Our goal is simple: to give you the best gelato and coffee experience in Los Angeles... Period! It all starts with our unique, amazing recipes, and from there we use only the highest quality, freshest ingredients! We make all our own gelatos in-house with absolutely no artificial flavors. Our coffee beans are roasted locally just for us, giving us the best taste of coffee, from the first sip to the last! So come by, say hi, and enjoy!

Our handmade gelato flavors include rice (our nod to the first ice cream ever created), our chocolate flavor is made with 92% cacao chocolate, biscoff biscuit that’s full of flavor, Madagascar bourbon vanilla, yogurt with passion fruit, ceremonial matcha, a Filipino yam called ube…the list goes on and on and is always being added to. (What can I say, we love creating new flavors!) Oh, by the way, we have gelato for KETO lovers, vegan and sugar-free!

On the coffee side, we have specialty brews including creme brûlée latte, lavender vanilla latte, turmeric latte, our signature one-of-a-kind drink, Ube latte and the most-raved drink called chagaccino. It’s made from chaga mushroom cinnamon, vanilla, cacao and monk fruit sweetener. This drink is packed with anti-oxidants, is plant based, anti-aging, elevates endurance and boosts immunity. And, oh yeah, all this goodness contains less than 40 calories!

HISTORY





Established in 2021 - I'm Diana and I started planning this business in the middle of pandemic. I was watching our kids play. I was frustrated because my boys love ice cream, but because most ice creams have a ton of sugar, fillers, and often other unnatural ingredients, I didn’t feel good about serving it to them.


I LOVE to cook and am a culinary trained chef. I researched and took training specifically for gelato. l knew if I put my heart and soul into it, I could come to up with natural gelatos that had less sugar AND tasted great.


Finally, I put my heart into each and every serving or cup of latte. We think you can taste the Tang & Java difference. Our goal is to put a smile on your face because you deserve the happiness that life’s simple pleasures can bring, especially now!

Diana


My name is Diana, This is my first gelato/coffee business and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve always loved cooking, gelato, and coffee, so for me, Tang & Java is my dream business. But, it's more than that. It’s launching my American Dream. I came here with my mom from the Philippines 20 years ago… I worked, studied, and raised my family. As my Mom always says, “work hard and earn your way,” and that’s always been our family mantra. So truly, Tang & Java means all this to us, and more. It’s more than a home for great flavors and great service. It’s a home for all people - James and I have four kids and our twins are special needs kids, so we feel very strongly about creating a space where all are welcome and aren’t judged - where differences are accepted and celebrated. We look forward to serving and welcoming you!​
